Medical Technologist Qualifications
- The Medical Technologist will provide accurate and timely laboratory information based on the performance of analytical tests on human body substances.
- Must be able to correlate and interpret test data.
- Medical Technologist must have the ability to monitor quality assurance and maintains laboratory instrumentation including all documentation.
- Follows established guidelines and protocols to provide requested clinical information to Physicians, nurses, and other relevant health care personnel.
- Maintains current knowledge in present area of responsibility (i.E., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs)
- May be scheduled as needed to including overtime
Medical Technologist Requirements:
- 2-year Associates Degree in Allied Health (required)
- 4-year bachelor s degree in Natural Science or related field (preferred);In lieu of a bachelor s degree;an associate degree and a minimum of 4 years additional relevant experience is acceptable
- 0 1-year Ability to perform in one or more laboratory departments as a clinical laboratory scientist (preferred)
- ASCP, AMT, NCA, AAB certifications or other agency approved by the state of Nebraska (preferred)
