Job Description
A state-of-the-art hospital in beautiful small town New York just a short drive from Syracuse is seeking a CT Technologist in their radiology department. Shift:
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7p-7: 30a
- Saturday, Sunday, Monday 7a-7: 30p
Pay: $36 - $52/hr depending on years of experience
Bonus: $10, 000
Equipment: Philips Ingenuity 128 slice CT scanner
Capabilities of CT Technologist:
- Understanding of the anatomy and physiology necessary to perform CT testing, including body mechanics and patient movement
- Knowledge of radiology equipment, including safety hazards common to radiology.
- Capability to identify equipment issues and troubleshoot problems
- Capacity to apply written instructions and standardized work practices and protocols
- Ability to perform all job duties with no accommodations, including lift up to 50 pounds, repeatedly bend and twist, and standing for up to 4-6 hours daily
- Friendly and outstanding customer service skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Basic computer skills, including the use of multiple Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
Education of CT Technologist:
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Required License or Certification of CT Technologist:
- ARRT Certification in (CT) Radiologic Technology
- Active New York State Licensure in Radiologic Technology
- New York State IV contrast certification required within 30 days of employment
- BLS CPR certification
