Job Description
An established Health Center located less than an hour away from Des Moines, IA, is seeking a full-time permanent Director of Obstetrics to join their team!
Pay Range: $87, 000 - $140, 000/year
Sign-on bonus is negotiable
Director of Obstetrics Opportunity:
- Full-time, permanent
- Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team
- Basic computer knowledge
- Technical and Critical Thinking Skills in relation to sound nursing judgment
- Knowledge of skilled nursing practices
- The director of obstetrics should have leadership skills related to the management aspects of this position
- A high degree of empathetic listening, tact, and kindness toward others
- Prior supervisory or management experience is highly preferred
- Continuing education as required to maintain a licensure
- Graduate of an accredited BSN program;MS preferred
- Current Registration and Licensure in the State of Iowa as a Nurse. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Prior hospital experience 5 years minimum required
- Experience in a director of obstetrics role is preferred
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after the hire date
- Current PALS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE certifications (New employees should obtain per guidelines of the Education Course Requirements policy
