Job Description
A well-respected hospital near Red Oak, IA is looking for an experienced Laboratory Tech to join their team. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a setting that not only promises professional growth but also a high quality of life outside of work.
Laboratory Tech Compensation:
- Pay Range: $30-36 /hr
- Shift Differentials: Additional $4-$5/hr
Laboratory Tech Opportunity:
- Permanent, full-time hire
- Schedule: Night Shift with flexibility for 3 x 12-hour shifts or 4 x 10-hour shifts
- Laboratory Tech positively identifies all patients, samples, and substances collected for testing. Performs specimen processing in an accurate and timely manner.
- Performs a wide variety of Laboratory tests according to established procedures, maintaining specimen quality and producing accurate test results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
- Greets and assists patients with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide excellent customer satisfaction. Performs phlebotomy procedure in accordance to protocol with an acceptable success rate.
Laboratory Tech Qualifications:
- Required: Graduated from an accredited MLT program
- Required: MLT or MT certification from AMT or ASCP
- Required: Completed 1-2 years of clinical Training
- Preferred: 3+ years of laboratory experience
