A smaller community hospital located outside of Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a full-time, permanent Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist to join their team!
The Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist Job Details:
- Full-time, direct hire opportunity
- Day shift, weekend option open as well

- Collects specimens and performs testing ensuring that testing is conducted in an accurate, efficient and timely manner that facilitates positive patient care in accordance with established policies, protocols and practice guidelines. Utilize a variety of procedures that may involve numerous detailed tests and techniques that require the use of professional judgment. Carries out a variety of complex procedures involving considerable independent judgment. The incumbent must be able to perform procedures of moderate and high complexity. Works with all levels within the organization and maintains positive relationships, cooperation, communication and coordination of all activities.
The Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited program for medical laboratory professionals
- AMT or ASCP certification required
- Would consider someone with a four-year degree in a science related field of study and experience in a hospital laboratory setting without certification
- Experience in hospital laboratory preferred
